Dashboard Overview
A single-page app
The entire ORDSwatch dashboard runs as one page in your browser. After the first load, switching between instances, logs, and settings doesn't reload the page — it feels instant, and live data (health status, logs) streams in over a WebSocket connection without you needing to refresh.
If your connection to ORDSwatch drops (laptop sleep, network blip), the dashboard reconnects automatically and a small banner tells you when it's back in sync.
Main areas
| Area | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Instances | All monitored ORDS instances, their live health, and quick actions (start/stop/restart) |
| Agents | Every agent connected to your account, its connection status, and enrollment |
| Alerts | Webhook and email alert configuration |
| History / Reports | Uptime percentage and event history (plan-dependent — see Historical Data and Reports) |
| Users | Team members and their roles (admin only) |
| Settings → Billing | Your plan, invoices, and payment method |
Instance health colors
Each instance shows a status color, updated in real time:
- Green — Up. The health check endpoint is responding normally.
- Yellow — Degraded. The instance is responding but slowly or with warnings.
- Red — Down. The health check is failing or timing out.
- Gray — Unknown. No agent has reported a health result yet (just enrolled, or the agent is disconnected).
A change in status also triggers an entry in that instance's event history and, if configured, an alert (see Alerts and Logs).
Filtering and search
Use the search box and tag filters above the instance list to narrow a large fleet down — by name, tag, agent, or status. Filters apply instantly as you type, no page reload.
